have you ever read a book about someone that you knew
crossed path and was a part of their life for a while
and then everything fell apart
you're both strangers again

it's funny
because as you read
the closer you get to the day the author is going to narrate about
when it all fell apart
and you already know what is going to happen

you start thinking
little did the author know
that in xx days time
everything you held dear
was going to disappear
into fine dust
and be swept away by the wind
never to be pieced together again
never to be seen again

you really start to think
did you with your own hands
shatter this piece of beautifully-shaped glass
by holding on too tight
or did the author let go of it
let it drop to the ground
to the same effect
the sound of breaking glass
till today still echoes deep within me
still comes back to haunt me now and then

because without both hands
this piece of glass
is doomed to shatter

there is one way to get it back into one piece:
to pick up the pieces
rekindle the fire
melt them
shape it back
let it cool
and you'll have back the one piece although it's never to be in the same shape as before

one hand by itself is unable to do that
it takes two hands
two hands to clap
two hands to pick up the pieces
two hands to shape it
two hands to carry it with care

it's time to let the echoes dissipate into silence
it's time to move on

i think i will implement these two new measures to my weight loss programme

getting a weighing machine that can calculate % fats in the body
this way
im dont have to be obsessed about losing weight
just losing fats would do

the second measure would be to use chopsticks for my meals
as the chopsticks can only pick up limited amounts of food
it will take more tries to finish the same amount of food as compared to using a fork or spoon
this will trick the brain into thinking a lot of food has been consumed
thus eating less
this complemented with the drinking of water during meals
shall lead to an overall healthier meal
=D

so right now...
I shall get myself a nice pair of chopsticks and the new weighing machine

i just completed my second long distance cycling!
route:
home>kembangan> ecp>city side end of ecp>airport end of ecp>airport stretch>changi beach>loyang>pasir ris>tampines>bedok reservoir>home

i estimate the distance to be around 35-40km
good job!
my thighs feel like it's being ripped to pieces
my back feels like an old man
my arse feels like squished pancakes
tomorrow shall bring new experience: soreness
haha

but then what the hell
i only lost 1 kg!

i know i have an acceptable body
and i know i can make it better
jyjy
=D

oh and i learnt a bit of drums today
i feel like i can be part of a rock band already
LOL

i guess it's about being able to forgive yourself
and move forward knowing that you will do better

that it does not take another person to forgive you
that if you do not treat yourself better no one will
that you have to come out of the shadow of the past into the light of the future
that no one gets hurt more than yourself if you refuse to let go

when you see someone do well
do you go up to him and shake his hand
congratulate him earnestly and pat him on his back for the job well done
feel proud that the effort he has put in has reaped rewards

when you see someone do badly
do you go up to him and give him a hug
tell him that you've done your best
that you believe that he will do better because he is strong

you'd be surprised how many people needs a hug or that smile
i know i do



liberate the soul and free the mind
