i was having lunch at the coffeeshop
and it was beside a primary school

well, you know lunch.
it is also the time when all the primary school kids start swarming out like locust
lol.
really reminiscent of the past

then i observed
or rather lost in thoughts

girls were wearing skirts

It's the norm
so you probably wont question it
at that point of time
it seemed weird to me

why?
why is it that all schools get the girls to don skirts and the guys, pants.
is it some kind of reason to it?
why primary school and lower secondary boys wear shorts
does it symbolize something significant?

if the answer is that skirts are to make girls ready for society
to appear presentable
there are women who wear pants to work
so why not pants

and for the shorts, does it represent the level of maturity?
if so, does it mean that boys gain a new level of maturity upon making it to sec 3?
highly unlikely as the growth of each is an individual process not a group effort
and would it mean then that girls never grow up or that they remain as grown as they are through out their schooling life?

why is there a difference?
after all, at some point of time
our ancestors were all wearing skirts and dresses

why are girls allowed to let their hair grow like wild grass
but the guys have to get their hair trimmed every now and then like lawn grass
after all, at some point of time
our ancestors all had wild grass-like hair

But this is just sg.
we have social dogmas
and when we defy, stigmas.

hah.
just a random thought

How ya doing?

Me? Starting to get tired of travelling so far.
Really. 2 hr long journeys mean that I would have to drag my ass out of bed at 530
and leave at 6 to reach at 8.
I'm a healthy person ok.
I sleep 7-9hrs a day. I know some people get like half or worse, but hey, I'm a big guy with big needs.
So which means my day is limited to 2230hrs.
Assuming I reach home at 1000hrs,
14 hrs of activity is what I have.
I really should be maximising the amount of time I have.
Investing it on more valuable processes.
Not in front of the computer
all day long.

Anyways
that day at the KTV.
I have a feeling I was quite chui.
What I hear of my own voice is like too high pitch
in a sense that, when duet with Mielin
I can hardly differentiate whose voice was higher pitch.
Got range, no power.
Chui ~
However, it was nice catching up with you guys.
We haven't met since ages.
=)

8 more levels.
